‘Let’s go to Finland they said.  Just a few things they forgot to put in the brochure.

The first few months over here ,that being their short summer, You won’t get any sleep cos there are no nights and You will be covered head to toe in mosquito bites as there’s bloody millions of them

Then the long long winter comes with the first snow and cold and yes you guessed it not much sunlight. You are going to have to learn how to drive again on roads constantly covered in snow in only what I can describe as nails drilled into your tires. You will have to get up 1 hour before leaving the house just to dig your car out before going to work ( it’s April and still got a foot of snow. )

Oh, and there’s dodging the crazy wildlife just roaming the streets 

All joking aside, things are going well here. Got a good job a lot less hours than I have ever worked before so that’s giving a lot more time to shout at the kids, they’re really enjoying it over here so that’s good.

Done a bit of work on the house, painting and decorating, new bathroom, kitchen the next big plan.

Am missing my football though and drinks and banter with lads. Hope you are all keeping well and I hope to pop over soon to have a game and see everyone’
