A plea to game 1 regulars for one brave soul to take those first tentative steps towards being a match reporter and ensure your game is better represented in future.
Some scratchy memories after a beer reported that Ken who had a really good game opened the scoring for blacks.
Maybe Paolo equalised for reds
Alan scored for reds and Keith scored a deflected equaliser with the last kick of the ball
So 2-2 and no noticeable comments around skill or not on show 😉
Game 2 was scheduled as a 7 aside and reds looked the stronger side however with an absentee they were a man down.
However blacks started 2 men down as Steve and Han had to move their scooters but reds didn’t make the one man advantage work.
The first 15 passed without score but blacks found their shooting boots and 2 goals from Martin and 1 from John had them up 3-0 by the half way point.
In an act of fairness ref Dave 🦊 swapped Prak to reds who now had the numerical advantage and had their first from Garry as he let fly.
Despite being a man down and with the more attacking players all in red, blacks managed to defend well with blocks, marshalling and good goal keeping and may have held out for the win until Han was binned for a robust challenge on fellow Netherlander Mercedes.
Now 2 men down blacks were easily overrun by the dominant front line of Mark, 🚖 and Garry ably supported by Prak, Mercedes and Alan with Tommy putting his foot in where it hurt at times and 2 goals from Mark were inevitable with Colin and Trevor being pulled in all directions whilst John and Martin tried their best to create some form of attack
So 3-3 it ended
Post match we celebrated Fred’s big 80 with a card and short speech from Geoff and a heartfelt reply from Fred who kindly donated €80 to the beer fund.
