Colins Column

With a late withdrawal by Paulo blacks were a man down for game 1 but you’d never have known.

With woeful passing from Colin, pointless backheals by Bambi to the opposition mostly the game wasn’t out greatest spectacle.

Sean handed his pealess whistle to Glyn who did well for his first game as ref, but as ever it’s all about honesty and spirit of the game so an element of self policing was witnessed.

A goal each from Sean and Kevo (with a wicked deflection) had blacks 2-0 and in control.

Reds were trying their best to pass the ball around and out of knowhere Ian passed the ball into the net.

Kevo added his second and third to take the game away from the reds despite a late goal from Toni who finally received a decent pass to feet and not 10 yards in front of him.

We all need to be more careful when lifting the ball, Dave 🦉 to a ball to the head from a poor pass by Colin who himself took one at close range from Bambi. Fingers crossed Dave is back on Thursday as he had to sit out some of the game through being a bit dizzy

Post game we enjoyed more loosening of the purse strings again as beer and chips were consumed at Grada8 Sport Bar and agreement was reached to invest in some new goalie gloves
