Today’s final report of the year comes from Colin

It was a freezing cold morning, no one said it got this cold in the brochure

Game 1 report will be briefer than Dave as no one bothered to make notes.

Apparently it was 5-4, Dave Owl scored 3, had 2 disallowed and switched sides to balance the game.

They all had fun and Bambi may have shouted at his team mates a bit

Game 2 was a game of Colin in and out of goal

In goal he couldn’t defend, out of goal no goals were conceded!

In fact Colin scored the first goal, somehow up front receiving the ball, rounding the keeper and slotting the ball into an empty net. 1-0 blacks

First change of ends, Colin now in goal for blacks, reds responded with 2 well struck goals by Martin, but blacks equalised when Dave scored a deserved goal for his efforts.

Which Dave do I hear you ask? was it Fox, Owl, Bee, Cab, King, Boris or Tommy?

None, it was Dave from Ireland making a guest appearance, he’ll need a proper nickname if he plays again 😅

The third half produced no goals for either side, no guesses for who wasn’t in goal for blacks

At the start of the 4th half and all the blacks taking up positions in the out field Colin decided someone should go in goal.

Tommy tonked the ball straight at Mercedes his own team mate, and the ball fell kindly for Daz to gently blast the ball in the back of the net 3-2 reds

Following a corner the ball landed at the feet of Martin who blasted the ball through a crowd of players 4-2 reds

Blacks were trying their best with Dave Cab, Mercedes and Guest Dave playing some great passing football with Rick having a shot or two and Tommy sweeping at the back

Then somehow they all decided to go up front, the ball was lost and Han collected the ball on the halfway line, he could have passed to Peter, Martin or Johnny but didn’t need to as he just strolled forward and slotted the ball past Colin to make it 5-2 reds.

Is Colin just a crap keeper or a very good defender?

That was it, a game that will go down as one of the coldest on record in the Costa del Sol ended with blacks not quite knowing how they lost

We resume on 8th Jan
