Welcome to the 2026/2027 season, our 9th

The management team met last week and a few decisions were made as follows:

  1. Geoff decided at the end of last season that he had served his time on the management team and stepped down, as his replacement Fez has agreed to join the team, whose responsibilities are distributed as follows:
    Dave Fox – Team Selections
    Kevo – Match Fee Collections, Polo Shirts
    Pete Fish – Pitch markings
    Dave Bee – Pitch Bookings, Socials
    Colin – Facebook Admin, Part Time Website updates, Guest team liaison
    Fez – Facebook Admin, Socials
  2. We have formalised the sanctions for yellow and red cards, in game and subsequent weeks with rule 12 updated thus:
    Persistent rule breaking or continuously questioning the referees decision will not be considered conducive to the spirit of the game and offenders will be sanctioned during the game by way of a yellow card and a period of  2 minutes sitting out of the game.
    Serious offences or 2 yellow cards will result in a red card and sent off from the remainder of the match.
    A red card or multiple yellow cards over 4 games will result in an immediate 1 game ban.
    A player that continuously receives red or yellow cards will be subject to further sanctions up to a 2 month ban
  3. Rule 15 has been added thus to formalise the practice in place:
    Once a player has been selected for a team by lunchtime on the day before a game their match fee becomes payable even if they cancel, due at their next attendance
  4. Kevo to arrange an order of Polo Shirts in October
  5. Additional pennants to be ordered either by Kevo through previous source or Dave Bee to investigate an online option
  6. Date for the diary, our Christmas Social with wives has been booked at Dulces restaurant in Benalmadena Pueblo for Saturday 19th December with Simon the Soul Singer providing entertainment, numbers will be limited to 50 and price still to be confirmed
  7. Social to be looked into in October possibly in the Arroyo/Bonanza Square area
  8. Travelling teams must play to our rules and they will only be accepted if it suits us to play them
