El Canadon 29th September

Todays Match report from El Canadon by Adrian

Guess what. another hot and sunny day at El Canadon for the Wednesday footie. Lots of early comments were passed re. the balance of the teams but this was shrugged off by the blues. They did go on to win by 5 goals to 1 but as somebody pointed out even Pep G doesn’t always get it right.

As last week the order of the goals escapes me but I remember big Al scoring first then 2 more quick goals for the blues. All scored past Mr B Gonad who wrongly wore two pairs of boxers, to protect the crown jewels, not thinking that he couldn’t move his legs.

Gi Joe and John were the other scorers for the blues with the best goal being a coolly taken lob by John. Something both the writer and Darren tried and failed with although I’m sure Ray got a hand to mine!

Johan spared the Pinks blushes. Slightly, with a good goal but it was all a bit one way.

There was an incident towards the end of the match where your intrepid reporter hit a blistering shot, heading into the top corner of the net, but big Al dived headlong into the path of it and headed it clear. Shocking play! Free kick surely!

Anyway that’s all I’ve got for another week I’m off to peg out the bibs. Please can the person who keeps putting their shorts, socks, shirt, dirty boxers etc. in the bag take them home next week.
