Countdown to next game at El Canadon

Todays Match report from El Canadon by Adrian

Despite the weather forecasts all predicting thunderstorms it was another lovely sunny (and sweaty) morning.

The final score perhaps didn’t reflect what was, in reality, a fairly close game.

This said when washed there were 7 pink bibs and 4 blue one’s. Is this why the blues kept pinching the ball and scoring? The answer to this riddle is new guy Neil from Brum who fitted in well as a sub on the pink team and is a welcome addition to the group.

So to the football which was a game of 5 halves, was nip n tuck, end to end stuff and won by the blues 3 to 1 making them over the moon.

Scorers for the blues being GI Joe, Alan and John all of which were overshadowed by Steve H’s goal purely ‘cos he was on the writers team. Not having scored himself your intrepid reporter has zero recollection of the order that the goals went in, the build up or the finish. Sorry scorers.

Anyway, another great game played in the right spirit (mostly) and a good laugh in the bar after.
