Countdown to next game at El Canadon

Following a fairly heavy Egg n Spooner attended by most of the players, the mood was a little more subdued than normal.

Things didn’t improve when a couple of players didn’t show making it an energy sapping 5 a side game.

The final result was 3 – 2 to the blues but, with excellently matched teams, it could have gone either way.

Scorers were Rob and Jim Mc for the Pinks and Joe Mc, John and A N Other for the blues. Apologies to Mr Other neither Tony nor I can remember who scored the goal.

In terms of other action worthy of note, the writer hit a shot so hard that when medium Chris blocked it his ankle swelled up and rumour has it that he can’t get his golf shoes or his Braveheart slippers on now.

Another solid performance by Jim Mc who is leaving us this week to go back to sunny Scotland. Better get your thermals out Jim.

One final point is that we have all read about the events of Monday at Benalmadena pueblo. Best wishes from the Wednesday group to Colin for a speedy recovery. Also hats off to the guys who did the CPR. You are a bunch of genuine heroes.
