As you are aware for the last few months I have been charging for my services to coordinate the football sessions hoping that somebody else might come forward to take over.

This has not happened and I believe in the long term it is not sustainable or fair to continue to receive an income. However over the last month I have received fantastic support from Geoff Holmes, Peter Fishwick, Wrighty and Joe Mckelvey.

All of us are unpaid and do this job because of our love of walking football.

We are an unelected /unofficial committee and have decided that we will all continue in our rolls and I hope we have your full support.

There will be some changes however anyone serving on the committee/coordinators will no longer pay session fees (€5) . We have also decided (funds allowing) that the first round of drinks will be on the club. Some of you may not realise that for the last few weeks the club has bought the first round of drinks. If you missed out, please accept my apologies.

We all know that a big part of walking football is the fun and banter in the bar afterwards and the first round of drinks isn’t enough to keep the laughter going, it needs your support in buying a jug (€7) so, If you’ve not bought one in a while. Please do so. Please support this wonderful charity.

If you drink coffee or soft drinks this doesn’t necessarily apply to you.

Seriously guys, this is about all of us having a great time when we play and enjoying the fun afterwards.
