Time until the next game at Benalmadena Polideportivo

Not so fast Game report by Geoff – Blacks 1 Reds 1

Yet another excellent turnout at the Polideportivo necessitating two games to be played on a fantastic sunny morning.

Despite the lack of goals there was an abundance of missed chances by both teams albeit on paper the blacks looked to have the stronger team.

Match referee Steve Loasby ensured the game flowed freely and in many ways had the easiest of games to oversee ensuring the rules of walking football were properly adhered too.

After some 45 minutes, and three water breaks,  there was still no score this despite some excellent football from both teams.

Just when the game looked to be heading for a goalless draw the blacks took the lead with a fine shot from Graham after 55 minutes following some excellent build up play by his team mates. This I believe being his first goal since recently joining WFS or more than likely since his schooldays judging by the wide grin on his face after scoring!

This goal prompted an immediate response from the reds as another recent new boy Alan R deservedly equalised just before Stevie blew the whistle for full time.

Outstanding for the reds was Bjarne and Jess and for the blacks, Terry the ‘Villain’ along with Dave and Mick .
