Countdown to the next game

On a very warm Monday morning, 2 well matched teams kicked off.
The early stages were cagey and passing and keeping hold of the ball was at a premium.
Shots on target were few & far between. The oranges then got a grip on the game and spaces appeared for them as they pushed forward. After a period of sustained pressure Dave the Owl struck a firm shot from distance to break the deadlock. 1-0 Oranges.
They followed this up with Pilgrim Pete finding the net to make the score 2-0.
The yellows eventually responded and big John got forward and hit the post with a good effort.
Then after numerous end to end chances for both, The Villain 🦹‍♀️ finally pulled one back for the yellows in the later stages which set up a good finish.
Bob and Dave the Owl were busy defending a spirited fightback & Kev Bing likewise for yellows.
Both Petes & Gary broke forward and in the last 10 minutes Steve Mc tucked one away for the yellows to make the score 2-2 at the finish.
Both teams were on empty at the whistle. A fair result so off to the bar for a few beers and a final farewell to Commander & Pete G and the Poli till later summer.
