On a grey morning,with the threat of rain, the game got under way with some good passing from both sides.

The first period was fairly even but eventually Adrian hit a powerful shot from distance that flew into the bottom corner. Swiss Tony was still unwrapping his new keepers gloves at this point & struggling with the Velcro.

The oranges continued to press and with the extra man (Keith) took control of the game.

It was no surprise when they added further goals from Dave the Owl, Mick and a brace from Kevo. The second a powerful drive well outside the box.

The yellows managed 2 well taken goals in reply from Steve C after a sublime through ball from the commander, and a blast from Brian.

VAR are still checking Kevos first goal as we believed it was heading for the corner flag till it struck Martyn on the ass and totally deceived Keith.

Final score 5-2 to the oranges a fair reflection. We just got off the pitch as the heavens opened, so perfect timing.

It was later discovered that the rain was in fact Yorkshire tears as Geoff was uncomfortable putting his hand in his pocket & got emotional when one of the lads found the combination to his wallet 😂😂.

Keith said he would only have a couple as he was on duty at Tivoli car park today but his picture told a different story!!🤔🙈🙈 All the lads had a great afternoon with Geoffs colourful language moderated in the presence of ladies. Big thanks for paella & beer to Geoff & Dapper Dave, who is modelling for Burtons window this morning.

Special mention to Olaf for the pigs in dressing gowns & veggie slices that were excellent.

Finally a warm Wfs welcome to Mick the Dundee diver to the group and once he finds his feet will enjoy the games and banter. See everyone Monday 10.30 for 11am 👍⚽️

Of course, all this  was just the warm up for the main event….
