Match report by guest reporter Tony Waller
On a warm but breezy morning we welcomed enough players to operate across the full pitch for the first time, including full sized goals.
For the first 20 minutes this didn’t see any goals as players were restricted to shooting outside the area. Once this was changed then Welsh Steve scored from a short range shot to give Oranges the lead.
The yellows then bombarded Keith’s goal repeatedly with Dave the Owl hitting both bar & post on 2 separate occasions.
Not to be outdone Boris also struck the woodwork too!!
This pressure eventually told and Boris was not to be denied with a well struck shot that Keith did well to avoid to make it 1-1.
Dave the Owl then scored a well taken second goal and completed the set by once more hitting the other post. He quickly added a third for the yellows & Kevo got in in the act with a deceptive wind assisted curling shot that caught Pete Fish & Keith in two minds, each left looking at the other.
That was the last action of the game & the bananas ran out comfortable 4-1 winners. The oranges just ran out of juice😂!
The players then retired to the balcony to view the Commanders trophy cabinet tour and 2 seconds later the amber nectar was flowing to be enjoyed by all.
Special mention to Malcolm who at the tender age of 81 made his debut. I personally believe with a bit more fitness he could prove a useful addition to the drinking squad😂👍.

See you all on Thursday!
