A couple off late “drop outs” left us with a six a side game.
The oranges on paper had a stronger side and had plenty of possession in the early stages but didn’t create any clear cut chances.
After the drinks break the game continued in the same vain with the oranges having more possession but a combination of poor shooting and some good keeping from Wrighty kept the game at 0-0.
The lemons were defending well and the oranges broke away with Adrian lashing a volley passed the hapless lemons keeper. 5 minutes later Glyn received a pass and hit a shot from 25 yards that reminded everyone of Barnes Wallace Bouncing bomb, the pace of it hypnotised the lemons keeper and crept in the corner of the net.
Although the lemons tried to get back into the game. Tony Waller shook off a crunching tackle to slot home the third goal to make the final score 3-0

I would also like to mention that the game stopped midway through the second half. We stood to attention and applauded the arrival of Cristi and Josephine the bar staff.
An extremely emotional moment as we didn’t think they were going to turn up.
