Blacks ….4 v Reds ….2

For the old farts game, or as some call it, for those less able on paper, the Reds looked to have the slightly better team which as the score line suggests did not turn out to be the case.

The latter as a result of Dave bringing along his brother in-law Paul for a game. Not knowing his ability Breck as is the norm selected him in this match which was undoubtedly fortuitous for the Blacks with him scoring all of his teams 4 goals, two of them actual belters.

The Black’s took an early lead through the aforementioned going into the first water break still in front.

The second session although dominated by the Reds remained goalless with Pete D failing to take three good chances that came his way in true Plymouth Argyle fashion and Paulo making some terrific saves in the Blacks goal.

The third session began with Pete D finally hitting the target and equalising and there being no further score. 1-1.

In the last session man of the match and debutant Paul ran amok for the Blacks scoring three more goals the best of which came from an excellent through ball from rush goalie Paulo.

In the concluding minutes the Blacks scored a consolation goal when Dave 🐝 from a tight angle scored which was just reward for all his hard work.

For the Reds, Bambi was as ever was his normal vociferous self, with everything being someone’s else’s fault but never his.
