Game 1 report from the Fox

A beautiful morning for football and following the squad photographs by Frank, Game 1 gets underway.
Terry joining at the last minute making the sides uneven, Blacks 8 and Reds 7. But lets see how this goes and will we make adjustments at half time if necessary.
The Blacks start well, Alan sheep just missing to the right post.
Geoff scores for the Reds, sadly with his 4th touch.
The Blacks go one up. Swift play by Dave Rabbit and Mick Dundee sets up Alan sheep to score. Blacks 1 Reds 0.
Into the 2nd quarter Ian puts the Blacks up 2 nil. A scorching strike beats Kevo in goal on his left.
The funny part of the game. Boris for Reds tries to clear the ball. Bambi in Black blocks it. Who said Bambi didn’t have any balls? He fell to the floor clutching them…
Funny how everyone laughs except for the guy counting his balls…
The game restarts and Gert strikes for the Reds. It hits Alan on the head and lands at the half way line. He stands strong, tough boys these Scots.
Into the 3rd period Villa Terry changes to Red with the Blacks still leading 2 nil.
The Reds immediately go forward, a good save by Graham in goal from Bambi. Boris’s pass into his balls seems to have energised him!
The Black defence is all over the place, Kevo just misses top right.
Graham in goal for Blacks saves well from Gert.
Reds pushing forward playing nice one twos finally get their reward. A good move between Gert and Ton feeds Kevo, he makes no mistake.
Blacks lead reduced 2-1.
Dave Rabbit is hitting shots at goal from every angle. Every one however is missing the target. He says he’s helping Frank get his new knee steps in..Really Smithy!
Another good move by Ton and Gert, sets up Bambi, he misses to the right.
Into the final quarter with the Blacks still leading 2-1.
But not for long. Again good movement by the Reds and the ball falls to Bambi. A great strike to the top right of the goal. 2-2.
Both sides now looking for the winner.
Sean saves from the Rabbit. Mick Dundee saves from Gert. Graham for Blacks blocks the Reds shots yet again.
The Ref calls time.
2-2.
A good game played in great spirit.
MOTM.
Bambi. He played well and scored a screamer. Didn’t moan to much either!
Game 2 report from Colin
Monday morning on a bright sunny day brought together 14 “Walking Footballers” including new boy Majid and Dave 🐝 returned after a few games absence.
Reds had all the big hitters, but Blacks had the staunch defenders.
The deadlock was broken towards the end of the first 15 when a miss hit shot smacked into Alvin and deflected into the goal.
The second quarter was a strange goal less affair.
After Mark poleaxed Colin from a corner drilling the ball straight into his face and a couple more high balls ref John announced that any more high balls would result in 2 minutes sin bin.
Soon after 🚖 and Prak were on the sidelines and John’s words ” if you’re not good enough at football to keep the ball down, it’s not my fault”
There were a few more high balls including a shot by Alvin which had to be saved but was deemed high, words were had but nobody else left the pitch.
Reds were getting frustrated at their own inability to pass through blacks defence which left gaps for Mercedes, Alan, Alvin and Jim to mount counter attacks and Jim scored 2 and hit the post a couple more times. 3-0 blacks
🚖, Mark, Daz, Paul and Majid were pressing for reds but either Prak or Colin blocked or Steve in goal saved.
The unlikliest goal scorer grabbed a 4th for blacks, a free kick was rolled back by Alan and Colin curled the ball into the top left corner of the goal past Majid
Despite megaphone Steve in goal wanting his team to play keep ball they continued to mount attacks and reds with Glyn on their left, 🐝 on their right, Paul drifting all over the pitch countered with Mark and 🚖 holding the ball well and laying off to put pressure on the blacks, but the game ended 4-0
