Colins Report
It’s interesting to see the evolution of football. Goalkeepers wearing gloves, then caps, then no caps.
Cryff turns, Panenka penalties and now the back heal. Executed correctly it looks brilliant, alternatively you look an idiot.
There’s not many Cryff turns, certainly no Panenkas but the back heal has well and truly been embraced by this motley crew of would be Bobby Charlton’s 😅
Game 1 on Monday had it’s moment, the back heal looked sublime, the opposition received it greatfully and Frank was on hand to capture it. Check out the video later!
Blacks were 2-0 up thanks to Mark and not 2-1 because of Mick’s missed penalty (also captured by Frank)
Mick redeemed himself with 4 goals in the end, Ian chipped in with a deflected goal and with score now 5-2 Reds Marks hattrick goal was more of a consolation rather than a celebration
The nimble footed Mick and Paul certainly danced around the blacks at times with some lovely tippy tappy stuff. Might have to separate them next time. 😉
Ken eased himself back in with some neat touches to set up at least one of Mick’s goals and had his own shots but sadly no goals
It was a good example of 8 aside Walking Football, not too much running, almost no tackling and an age range of 53 – 81, it’s how it should be, all abilities accommodated
