Seans Summary
A fine group of young lads took to the pitch at Polideportivo on Thursday morning. The game kicked off 6 v 6 as Reds awaited the arrival of the non Flying Dutchman Ton, Who arrived right after kick off giving Reds a 1 man advantage.
Upon kick off, probably the quickest goal recorded in history of Benalmadena WF was scored with 14 seconds on the clock. By non other that The Hooverboard Kevo. I would describe the buildup but I was still occupied putting on my goalie gloves at the time I glanced up to see Kevo shoot and the ball rattle the net behind Mad dog. 1-0 Blacks.
The Reds started with Mad dog Paul in goal, legs eleven Ian and Daz fast walking up and down the wings. Dave Rabbit shooting from everywhere. Ton doing what Ton does.
Bambi as usual proving verbal encouragement and criticisms of his team mates. Superstar striker Ken in his usual forward position.
Blacks with your truely with my size 12 feet in goal for 1st period. The aforementioned Kevo Hooverboard man center of defense.
H mister versatile in defense and goal, the Boomer Gly and the assassin Nev in the middle and upfront doc Martin. The game was a tight affair back and fourth.
When Bamster on the break away fed the ball to Ken who slotted home passed H in the Blackgoals 1-1.
The game was a tight affair Brian the ref had his work cut out for him with players moving a little swifter than maybe the rules allow.
As I said the game flowed back and forth for the 1st half with both sides creating their share of chances.
Just before half time a certain Red player displeased with proceedings., Headed for an early shower leaving Reds an angry man down technical as they started with 7.
Now there were 12 goals total scored in this game and I don’t have the mental capacity or desire to remember each and everyone. So here is the list of scorers as was told to me on the patio. Blacks, Kevo on 14 secs, DocMartin super striker 2, Nev 2, Glyn 2 scorchers, Sean’s size twelves 1. Reds Ken striker supreme 1 and Fast walker Daz’s big toe 3.
The final score was I was informed 8-4.
For those who were still on the pitch at the final whistle. I believe it was an enjoyable game played in the spirit of the game, for the most part.
We all survived to play again Monday! If selected!

The game was played in a really good spirit with only the odd outburst due to the passion and desire to win towards the end of the game..
Every player was putting in a shift with neat football being played and good goal scoring opportunities created..
That said the score remained at 0-0 for almost 30 minutes… were we heading for a stalemate ?
No, Keith opened the scoring for the reds.. some good play opened up the blacks defence and Keith pounced and slid the ball home..
The goal deflated the blacks a little as they had played good football against a more mobile opponent..
Lady Luck shone and some smart interplay the ball fell to the feet of Dave 🐝 he struck it goal bound and a wicked deflection left Dave 👑 diving in the wrong direction..
1-1
Another 10 minutes went by and we reached 40 mins of play 1-1 and all the player sweating 🥵 from every pour !
Into the final 20 mins and the reds legs had the edge over the fastly tiring blacks..
In quick succession Darren played a 1-2 with the mercurial Keith and he lashed it home into the roof of the net..
2-1 Reds..
The impressive Colin strode forward and was encouraged to shoot.. he left loose a wonder strike into the top left bin.. Dave🦉 almost clawed it out but he just couldn’t get enough to parry it out..
3-1 Reds
The blacks had give everything and chased every opportunity, pushing for a goal of two, but left the back door open..
Again Keith stretching the line received the ball out wide and slide in Darren who does doesn’t miss many 1 on 1’s with the keeper.. and he
made the net bulge..
4-1 Reds
It was harsh on the blacks Dave 🚖, Dave 🐝 Dave 🦉 Alan 🎤 Joe 🏴 and John ⚡️
Dave 🐝 and 🦉 pulled off some great saves and played some neat football with 🚖 & Joe linking with John up top. On another day a few
more goals would have been on the score board.
The reds had the legs and played some equally impressive football in the heat.. Dave👑 was solid in goal having recovered from his session last Thursday.. only beaten by the wicked deflection.
The defence was well marshalled by Mark and Colin who blocked and snuffed out much of the blacks efforts..
Alvin and Keith made the most the solid defence, picking up loose balls or passes out from the back linking up with Darren who’s hold up play was top class..
The ref had only a couple of decisions to make which was down to all the players, playing in the spirit of the game… Thank you !
Well done to all the lads for what was a huge effort in the heat..
