The teams assembled for a game that was hasterly organised by Keef👏👏👏 due to a change in plan by the local authorities….

Goals galore in the 1st period…

Gert🌷scored first for the Blacks with Nev🦍 replying sharply with a nicely taken goal for the Reds. Dave🦊 quickly put the Blacks back in front, and Gert🌷added his second and put the Blacks 3-1 up after 10 mins play….

Into the 2nd period, Nev🦍 scored his second goal with a quality finish into the bottom left of the goal. Dave🦊 scored to finish the period 4-2 to the Blacks…

The 3rd started oddly and finishing in controversy.
Nev🦍 now playing in goal for the Reds, who had a moment of colour blindness, played a sumptuous 5 yard pass to Dave🦊 in Black who duly put the Blacks 5-2 up.

Our own (JG’s) Ken⭐ put the Blacks further ahead with one of his usual neat goals…Steve⿭ now in goal for the Reds, made some fine saves to keep the Reds in touching distance. Like wise in goal for the Blacks, Steve, stood in at a minutes notice (thanks Steve) also made some great saves, one especially, moving swiftly across his goal to save a thunderous shot from Terry🦹🏼‍♂.

The 3rd period ended in controversy when a penalty was called for following a challenge on the edge of the box by Colin⛵. Before the penalty could be taken, the whistle blew for the end of the 3rd period as a full 20 seconds extra time had been played. In the ensuring ruckus, Terry🦹🏼‍♂ and Bambi🦌 received yellow cards for overzealous behaviour.

In the 4th period, Ken⭐ scored his second goal, having had one ruled out earlier in the game.

The Reds began playing some neat football culminating in Nev🦍 scoring… H👮🏼in goal for the Reds, made some good saves to keep the Reds in with a fighting chance of getting something out of the game..

Into the final period, the Reds pressed forward again with Nev🦍 scoring his 4th goal. However, in the few final minutes that remained, Ken⭐took a weighted ball under control, spun, and slotted the ball wide of the rushing goalkeeper scoring his hat-trick.. (JG strikes again…)

The Blacks ran out 8-4 winners in a game where the question remains… should the penalty have been taken ?
