Hope you are all well.
My name is Mark Coleman and I am the football operations manager for Team Spain , the representative side for walking football that competes in International tournaments held by the FIWFA.
I also play for Malaga WF in the Andalusian Walking Football League against local opposition.
I know your club has no interest in competitive League football and you pulled away from that some time ago and that is understood. My job at Team Spain is to facilitate representative football for those who wish to play at different age groups – Men’s 50+ 60+ and Ladies sides . There is also representative football available to those that have Parkinson’s disease or have been diagnosed and beaten cancer or are currently having treatment – there is a big International community facilitating these matches .
Currently we don’t have the pool of players that England and others have to pick from in age group football but we progressed to the semi finals of the World Nations at St George’s Park last August at Mens +50 and just returned from a tournament in Marrakesh with the Ladies +40 team .
