Report by Ian Holdsworth
Benalmadena started at a blistering pace but was unable to convert their dominance into goals
Against the run of play Gazza scored for Calahonda with a well taken goal in the 11th minute and again was on target again in the 17th minute,
Benalmadena then changed their goalkeeper twice, one change was due to injury.
Paul Deenen then injured his shoulder after 43 minutes and had to leave the field to be replaced with Yorky who was an able substitute,
Just before halftime Benalmadena were awarded a penalty for an infringement in the penalty area but unfortunately missed the spot kick.
After half time, with the score at 2-0 for Calahonda, Paul Durant replaced Steve Reynolds.
After 50 minutes Yorky blocked a rocket shot from Rory as Calahonda came under pressure.
After 55 minutes Benalmadena scored a goal from a corner which was disallowed for encroaching in the goal area.
Gazza was denied a hat rick by a wonderful save by the Benalmadena goalkeeper.
Game was refereed to a high and very fair standard and the game finished Benalmadena 0-Calahonda 2
After the game great hospitality with food and drink was enjoyed by all the participants and we are all looking forward to the next instalment.

Well played guys…..special mention to the referee John Blackman who was spot on with all his decisions.
