Our friend Gordon Powell who passed away on this day whilst playing walking football with WFS in Portugal……RIP

I only knew Gordon for six months when he joined our walking football family He endeared himself to all of us immediately, funny, opinionated and he could moan a lot.
I was privileged and honoured, amongst others to be with Gordon on the last day of he’s life.
After playing in a game that we won 2-0, we were laughing and joking, when, I liked to think, that Gordon decided that he had had enough.
To he’s family and friends I can assure you that he did not suffer and if there is a next world he made a dignified exit from this one with a lot of love and affection.
