Countdown to next game at El Canadon

Following a no show it was agreed to play 6 v 5 with the blues starting a man short. The sides were evened out later in the game when Steve H’s knees gave out.

Despite this the blues started strongly and opened the scoring. This was followed by two quick goals from the pinks as their extra man started to have an impact.

The second half of the game was quite a blur with lots (in other words – too much) arguing and complaining.

This continues onto the final score which varies between 3 – 3 and 4 – 3 to the pinks. At the risk of starting another argument let’s call it a 3 all win for the pinks. Let’s remember – footballs always the winner!!

Scorers were Alan x 2 and TV Kev x 1 for the blues. For the pinks Carlos scored one and Josh Hollis (Steve son who kindly came along to even up the numbers) scored 2 or 3 depending on who you talk to??

Special thanks to Steve Loasby who volunteered to referee. Well done Steve as even the great Pierluigi Collina would have struggled with us today.

In summary, a very competitive game but one where, at times, winning appeared more important than the “spirit of the game”.

Something for us all to reflect on for next week.

Adrian Gray, Bein Sports, El Canadon.
