Countdown to next game at El Canadon
Well what a strange day! Strong line ups on a lovely autumn morning – perfectly set up for a good game.
In actual fact we had an incident packed game with two injuries – firstly Neil who may be out for a while and is now known as the Brummie Jamie Redknapp. Followed by Stevie H who looked out for the count but recovered quicker than the great Jurgen Klinsmann at his best/worst.
We then had a 5 minute debate over the teams followed by a walk off. Not experienced before by the writer but the result being both teams down to 5 a side.
Anyway to the football. As always sorry for the lack of detail (old age or lack of attention to detail ?) but a relatively comfortable 6 to 2 victory for the blues following not one but two hat tricks – English John and Swedish John (Johan).
Despite hitting everything but the back of the net when playing for the blues Steve H finally got one in the old onion bag for the Pinks with their other goal scored by the Duracell battery like Joe who we know never stops.
In fact it could have been two but for the other penalty aimed at the middle of the goal but hitting Swedish John in his fermented fish/bread basket. Ooh painful.
So, a good game, and farewell to Chris B who heads back to sunny Scotland thermals at the ready.
