Countdown to the next Game at Benalmadena

Match report by the Commander

Yellows… 4 v Oranges… 2

On yet another excellent turn out on Monday at the PoliDeportivo a warm welcome was given to Steve the local chef from the La Fuente restaurant in Benalmadena Pueblo, this despite him being uncovered as yet another Manchester Utd fan with a London accent!

Dave the Brentford 🐝 was still buzzing following his team being promoted to the Premiership at the weekend gave the Oranges an early lead after a flowing passing movement involving several players.

On 15 minutes new boy Steve the Red equalised for the Yellows with an excellent shot from outside the goal area. The scores didn’t remain level for long when shortly afterwards Steve Mac restored the lead for the Oranges with a powerful shot following a defence splitting pass by the Busy 🐝.

This lead was short lived when H in goal saved a rasping shot from the assistant reporter Tony W only for the ball to drop back to him and his next shot was deflected off Bournemouth Mick’s fat arse giving H no chance in goal.

The score remained level for sometime with the game flowing end to end, however the Yellows eventually began to dominate not surprisingly following some dodgy refereeing decisions by Keef and the fact when he selected the teams he made sure his team got the extra player.

Then suddenly right out of the blue Maurice aka Bambi on ice skated through the Oranges defence and hit a superb shot giving the keeper no chance to put the Yellows 3-2 up.

A disputed late goal for entering the goal area by Steve the Red, giving him a brace and bragging rights,  ensured victory for Yellows against tiring opponents. Afterwards he claimed it was his momentum after he struck the ball that took him into the goal area.

Keef as one would expect and now a  closet ‘Red’ agreed!

For the Oranges, Steve Mac was the pick of their players, ably supported by the ever improving Bournemouth 🍒.

Bob was his usual solid self in defence for the Yellows along with Steve the London Red who was always dangerous up front when not straying into the goal area.

The day was rounded off in the bar afterwards by celebrating Kevo’s 64th birthday to which he generously donated a tidy sum to the kitty ensuring the amber nectar flowed freely.

Welcome to new member, Steve
