In an enjoyable game on Monday at the Retamar despite going behind twice in the early stages the Orange bibs eventually ‘ran’ out deserved winners.
They were ably ‘orchestrated’ in mid-field by Steve ‘McHugh who for good measure also ‘slotted’ in 3 goals.
Man of the match for the Oranges 🍊was recent newcomer ‘Kevo’ Brabbs with a superb hat-trick.
Steve ‘C’ had a ‘SOLID’ game in more ways than one as afterwards in the bar obviously having a memory loss or too much to drink he also tried to claim scoring an hat-trick due to two of his shots hitting the post. His new nickname is now the ‘nearly man’ hence the half a goal being shown in the final score!
What has being really pleasing in recent weeks has been the ever improving form of our ‘old farts’, such as Pete ‘Fish’, ‘Lowe Man’, Bob and most impressive of all Glyn who just can’t stop scoring with yet another brace of goals.
There is no doubt ‘Keef’ will be putting this down to all his coaching, most notably in the bar afterwards! Bob as always gave a sound performance in defence for the Oranges. ‘Fish’ again netted for the Yellows also laying on a tap in for the Commander. For the lemons, sorry the yellows Dazza and Dave ‘Owl’ also got two each.
The game finished ORANGES 9 1/2 v LEMONS 6
So, watch out Mr Beith, we are looking forward to our return fixture at Calahonda!
