Owing to missing players,  a six-a-side match took place at Finca Naundrup for our first outing since early January.

We Calahondans were joined by Keith, Peter and The Commander from our Benalmadena friends.

The blacks won by eight goals to nil, although it should have been many more with Robin twice hitting the woodwork and missing a barrowload of easy chances.

Although they put up a brave fight the Reds were overcome by hat tricks from both Gary Seymour and Mark Grufferty and a fine brace from Adam Kerr.

Calahonda will continue to play at the Finca on both Mondays and Fridays for the immediate future, depending on numbers.

Consideration is being given to regular home and away fixtures with Benalmadena at “Old Farts” level.
