Was it only 3 years ago that walking football started in Benalmadena pueblo?

…EVENING SESSIONS starting this Monday, 4th September from 8pm to 9pm at a new venue!! I have found 2 perfect walking football pitches side by side at the Polideportivo Arroyo de la Miel in Benalmadena. This will allow us to play 6-a-side on regulation size pitches, with regulation size goals and areas. With 2 pitches side by side, we can field 24 players plus subs at the same time, all playing 6-a-side. They are hard court pitches and will now become the venue for various tournaments that we plan to host in the coming months. Thursday mornings will stay at Elviria but we will train Monday evenings here as well. They will also allow me to block book pitches, which means I can guarantee the same time each week (something which would be a problem at Elviria for the evenings, as can only book one week in advance!). Still 5€ for the session please. Hopefully we can also tap into a large ex-pat community in Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Torremolinos to grow the team. So please all come on down this Monday and bring a friend! There is a bar and cafe on site, so no problems getting a beer afterwards. Only problem is no on-site parking. So you need to find somewhere in front or in the streets behind, I have been advised may be easier.

With it having been a solid tarmac surface there were many injuries and the venue was abandoned once we found the 3g surface at the polideportivo.
