Game #1 Report 21/09/2026 Limey date or 09/22/2026 Yankee date.
Another day, another peep behind the curtains of Seans mind. All errors are purely there to see whose reading, comments welcomed below😉
Preface. This week Dave Fox kept a notebook, where he recorded who scored and in which period. Everything else is a product of my imagination.
Apologies to Gert who scored a goal last game for Blacks which I failed to give him credit for. Instead crediting the goal to the master of trickery, Dave the Owl. It was an honest mistake. As my Iranian wife says” All you old white guys look alike anyway”😃
So it was on another bright sunny Monday morning our hero’s of yesteryears gather to trip, miss kick and escape from their wife’s honey do lists for an hours footie in Polideportivo Benalmadena.
This reporter noted that we were graced by the presence of a number of speedsters from the fast game, notably Keith, Garry🛩️, Glynn and Dazz as one of them, who shall remain nameless, Keith, declared they were banished to play with the duffers😮
The game kicked off with both teams having even possession, or a bit like Fulham v Utd on Sunday both were shit.
Steve, the Welsh wizard in the reds goal and the incoherent Dubliner Daz in the Black’s goal had little that troubled them.
About half way through the 1st period some nice passing moves by Blacks involving Kevo, to Gert the Dutch master on the wing, to the Danish Pele, Soren, to Legs the scientist Ian, to Garry , whose ankles didn’t seem to be bothering him one little bit! his through pass somehow found Bambi who was as usual hiding behind Paul, the knee, in the Reds defense. Bambi’s shot somehow! was on target and blasted past, the Welsh wizard in the Reds goal, 1-0 Blacks.
I am resuming completion of this report following a few beverages at a local watering hole having had beverages with some friends who are heading back to jolly old England.
So where was I?….
Oh yes! After the restart, hell frozeover one more time. A series of passes by Blacks and again Bambster’s shot instead of vyeing towards a galaxy far- far -away ended up in the back of the Reds net, 2-0 Blacks.
This is when our Keith decided to take matters into his own hands, or feet, in this instance a quick string of passes between he, Mr trickster Dave The Owl, Glyn and Dasher leading to a cross from Keith being diverted pass Dazz and into the Blacks net.
My notes say Howie scored it. I believe Howie may be a man also known as Dasher. Who maybe in a witness protection program of some kind hence the different names? 2-1 Blacks.
Towards the end of the 1st period with Reds pushing forward Blacks appearing to have 20 men behind the ball Reds had no way through. Kevo and Big Graham got a body part in the way of every shot from Glyn, Howie, Keith and the Hungarian Beckenbaur, Jonny.
Then from nowhere another breakaway by Blacks found Gary lurking in the middle who fed Soren coming through and he latched on to the pass and hit the top corner rattling the Reds net. 3-1 Blacks.
The 2nd period Reds began to gain a foothold in the game. But again that elusive 2nd goal failed to materialize. Not much materialize for Blacks either and it was still 3-1 at the half.
The 3rd period ebbed and flowed just like the 2nd. But neither team could muster up a goal. Daz saved or got in the way of everything thrown at him. Chairs, tables, money, gold and someone’s knickers but he stood tall. Well at least as tall as Daz can stand.
Still 3-1 Reds at end of the 3rd period or quarter as we Yanks like to say.
At the break Lilac Tree and Mr Trumps best mate, Terry was rousing his fellow Blacks telling them that the Reds players were done, spent, finished, their heads were down, their tongues hanging out. Personally this Red player was ready to get to the patio and down a beer or two.
But duty called and back onto the field we dragged our weary limbs. In the 4th period Reds again pressed forward. Keith and Howie/Dasher were linking up along the right wing. Jonny was spreading passes left and right, Glyn’s legs were getting shorter from the kilometers he was running , Mike’s control was deserting him, Paul the knee, was bravely venturing forward gingerly and the Welsh wizard now out of goal got stuck into the friar.
As I have said before Blacks appeared to have 20 men being the ball. Ian the leggy scientist, Gert the Dutch master, was out wide then cutting in across the middle, Terry, Mr Smooth operator, was steady and calm as always, Soren with that Danish work ethic.
But Blacks had a secret weapon, the high flying scouser and Millwalls finest, when he’s not falling over, Bambster, combining up front like Keegan and Toshack or Cole and Yorke.
Cometh the minute or the 15 minutes, cometh the men. Garry, received an outlets pass down field, which in a regular game may have been a tad off side. He passed to Bambi who crossed it back leaving Garry one on one with the Owl in goal. 4-1 Blacks.
Reds were devastated, for all their hard work to be caught on the break like that was a punch to the gut. Not long after Garry the Hatcher received another pass in space and scored his 2nd of the day.
Final score Black 5-Reds 1 Blacks were the better team on the day. Game was played in a good spirit and no animals were harmed during or after. Until next time out and over

Game 2 report from Fez
This was a 7 aside affair, which is always nice as it creates that little bit of space and time for players..
Teams – lined up as follows…
Blacks – Fez 🐶, Paul 🎂, Dave 🐝, Alan 🎤, Stan 🏏, Lawrence 🚛 & Prak 💈
Reds – Darren 💴, Dave 👑, Steve 📢, John ⚡️, Majid 😊, Jim 🏴 & Micky 🐁

The game was played at a high tempo the reds starting the better.. passing and moving.. closing down quickly with a high press…
This paid off when the black tried to play out from the back but slid the ball across the box and in darted Micky 🐁 with a tap in…
1 – 0 Reds
The blacks did a little bit of a shuffle, but before they settled into a more one on one shape Jim 🏴 benefitted from some good interplay and slotted home from close range…
2 – 0 Reds
The blacks reorganisation was starting to pay dividends Fez 🐶 spun left instead of right and poked the ball home… Spark controversy.. the refs whistle went some would say pre goal other post goal… However the goal was given…. Banter ensued and Fez lost his cool somewhat… 🤯
2 – 1 Reds
The game was now up for grabs and with lots of good football being played by both sides. Quick breaks from the back and some great last ditch tackles and saves from the keepers !
Steve, Darren and Dave keeping the blacks at bay… Majid & John bossing the midfield and Jim & foil Mick looking for chances and goal opportunities…
A short pass across the back ( this seems to be the route for a lot of goals, no across the gaol passes less goals 🤷🏻♂️) Fez 🐶 took a stride forward and slipped it underneath the advancing goalie..
2 – 2
The blacks now turned the screw, Paul, Stan and Prak were lapping up everything the reds offered… Lawrence, Dave & Alan put up a brick wall across the middle and took it in turns breaking forward to support Fez…
It was now end to end with both teams looking to win the game posts and bars were hit, finger tip saves were being made by both keepers…
The Blacks broke as people were running out of steam.. Lawrence 🚛 had the ball advancing through the centre, Alan 🎤 pulled Dave 👑 out left, Darren 💴 was not two v one as he close Lawrence 🚛 down he slide Fez 🐶 in and he dispatched it fist time to the far post into the net..
3 – 2 Blacks
Having now taken the lead for the first time in the game all players put in 110 % to grab and equaliser or defend the lead… No further goals were scored and the blacks won the game..

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stan 🏏 defended stoutly and organised his team well nullifying blacks great start !
⭐️⭐️ Paul 🎂 worked tirelessly in defence and up and down the flank and made several good saves
⭐️ Dave 🐝 started in goal made some brilliant saves, then played a wing back feeding the forwards creating numerous good goal scoring opportunities
Finally the refs decision is final… Fez 🐶 apologised to John and the reds for his un-gentlemanly conduct 😔 not how the game should be played and lessons learned !
