One of the issues that still exist is members “dropping out”at short notice. Myself, Breck and H spend many a Monday or Thursday morning having to change teams.
As an example….If you have 24 players 2 games. 1 player drops out, it then becomes an odd number so you have to reassess both games and try to balance the games so that players get a decent game.
10 minutes later another player drops out, you then have to go through the process again.
Inevitably, you can be involved in two poor games and the blame seems to lie with the coordinator. Most players drop out because of injury.
If your injured the day before the game, don’t play.
If you’ve got a cold the day before the game and your a bit sickly. Don’t play.
If your having a night out and get hungover, Man up…it’s an 11 o’clock kickoff, don’t let players down.
There will always be unforeseen emergencies that happen…If it happens don’t worry.
Finally can I ask for a volunteer to check the footballs before every session to ensure they are pumped up and in good order. If you feel your qualified and want to help, Please put your name in the comments section below.
