From Ronnie Waugh – League Director
For those who don’t know WFS Raise Money For a young lady, Sarah Almagro Valleco from Elviria who contracted SEPSIS in July 2018 .
Sarah was in an induced coma for 10 days with her life in the balance. She survived but at a cost, Her arms were amputated just above the elbow and her legs just above the knees.
Prosthetic limbs were priced at over 200 000 euros. Unfortunately, Seguridad Social did not cover this treatment and a fund was set up for Sarah. We have contributed to the fund during the past 2 years donating almost 3,000 euros.
We continue to raise funds to which Sarah always offers profuse Thanks.
She is desperate to come and see us play and will do when the restrictions are more favourable.
Sarah, on behalf of us all at Walking Football Spain, Have a wonderful new year!
