Due to the bank holiday football kicked off half an later than normal.
Owing to injury, Wrighty went in goal and with members begging Keef to referee and he relented and picked up the whistle with the dodgy pea.
What a game we had. Full of excitement and goal mouth action it was only a matter of time before the first goal was scored and hopefully it might be this Thursday.
Final score finished Oranges 0 Lemons 0.
And so, we repaired to the bar. An extremely disappointing start with reports coming back to the tables that there was no draught beer, 38 bottles of beer later, no more beer. Members started to cry and so we used our initiative, wine and coffee with rum began to appear.
Once again spirits and hearts were lifted, only to evaporate into disappointment shortly after as that also ran out. With only a half bottle of Noilly Prat vermouth behind the bar members decided to make there way home to watch the latest episode of loose Women.
We will reconvene this Thursday with hopefully a full bar.
