Pleased to say it did burn off very quickly and we were able to play in warm pleasant conditions.
An amazing 34 turned out at the Poli today in what is becoming a weekly increase in numbers and is beginning to cause concern for Coordinator Keith Samuels as it reaches saturation point.
Two games got underway with the slower game playing 7 a side to the usual Dutch rules. A good game I was advised afterwards with the Yellow Bibs edging it 7-6.
At the top part of the complex a 10 a side got underway using the full pitch and multi touch. Mark (where was the Fan Club this week?) opened the scoring after 7 minutes when he latched onto a loose ball and surged forward unchallenged to send a 15 yard shot low into the net.
HT..1-0 Yellow Bibs.
It was Mark again just after the start of the second half who shot home to increase Yellows lead to 2-0. 10 mins later a long pass out from the Yellows keeper found Ray in space on the wing. A quick pass on to Scots Joe and he crashed a shot home from a tight angle to put the Yellows well in front.
Wrighty got his usual goal firing home from just outside the box for a late consolation goal.
A very good game played in excellent conditions after the fog lifted.
